Early Shaker communities used this hexagonal basket style like a colander to drain freshly made cheeses. Now you can have the enjoyment of weaving a functional basket with an interesting history.

It's a perfect basket for your dining table, to display fresh fruits, onions, napkins, seashells, or your collectible art objects. Lined with a cloth or paper napkin, the 9-1/2" diameter by 2-1/2" deep basket is great for holding fresh breads, tortillas or biscuits.

The kit contains flat rattan reed and a simple instruction booklet which includes information about Shaker communities.
